What is a Switching Transformer?
“Switching transformer” is another name for the switch mode power supply transformer (SMPS). SMPS transformers and simply “switch mode transformer” are additional terms that are often used.
The highly efficient switch mode power supply transformer converts electricity using a switching transformer and associated components. SMPS transformers make AC or DC current usable.
Switching transformers are often found in laptops, computer devices, power sourcing applications, and more. SMPS transformers are known for their high efficiency and small size. Thanks to these design features, switch mode power supply transformers experience reduced overall losses and are lower in weight than many other transformers.
For many applications in need of a switching transformer, size is key. Smaller transformers can save space and reduce costs for the manufacturers making the end-products in which SMPS transformers are used.

HIPOTs include: 1.5KVdc P-b/s/c, 1.5KVdc P/B-S, 1.5KVdc S-S-C, 1.5KVdc P-S-C, 1.5KVdc w-w-c, 1.5KVdc P-S.
