Prem Introduces Its Newest 25V Line Matching Audio
Output Transformer For Distributed Sound Systems

A new chassis mount line-matching transformer developed for commercial distributed sound systems has been
introduced by Prem Magnetics, Inc. Designated the SPLM-100, this new part is developed for 25V line to 8 Ohm
speaker applications at power levels of 8.0, 4.0, 2.0, 1.0, and 0.5Watts.
 
Commonly used in schools and other applications requiring a low distributed line voltage, this transformer
offers excellent performance. Having an Insertion Loss rating of 1.0dB at 1KHz, the SPLM-100 offers a very
good Frequency Response of ±2.0dB from 50Hz to 15KHz. With a Total Harmonic Distortion  (THD) rating of 1.25%
typical at rated power and 100Hz, the part offers high sound quality. Isolation rating is 1,500 Vac from
primary to secondary to core.

The SPLM-100 has 0.113” (2.87mm) solder tabs for connecting the inputs and output, and a channel frame bracket
for ease of mounting in an enclosure or onto a mounting plane. Dimensions for the SPLM-100 are 3.250” (82.55mm)
Length x 2.235” (56.77mm) Width x 1.985” (50.42mm) Height. Weight for this part is approximately 14.5 oz
(411 grams).
