New Series of Chassis-Mount 24Vac Input
Power Transformers for HVAC Applications

A new series of 12.0VA chassis-mount transformers for HVAC and other low-voltage applications has been
introduced by Prem Magnetics, Inc. Designated the CSLP-24-600 series, this new line of transformers is comprised
of 6 transformers having an input voltage rating of 24Vac and outputs ranging from 5.0Vac. to 28VC.T. at 12.0VA.
This series complements Prem’s 2.4VA and 6.0VA series.

All units within this series have a single winding primary and dual secondaries for either series or parallel
connections on a split-section bobbin. Connections are made via 0.187” (4.75 mm) quick-connect terminals
inserted into the bobbin. This split-section bobbin provides for excellent isolation with a 2,500 Vac dielectric
strength (HIPOT) and does not require an electrostatic shield. As with all of Prem’s standard product power
transformers, this new series incorporates Prem’s standard epoxy resin impregnation system, and has a UL
Recognized Class 130 (B) insulation system. Reference dimensions for the CSLP-24-600 series is 2.81" (71.37 mm)
L x 1.785" (45.34 mm) W x 1.63" (41.40 mm) Ht.

All Prem standard transformers are 100% final tested for exciting current, open circuit voltage (turns ratio),
polarity (phasing), and dielectric strength. Pricing for the new CSLP-24-600 series is as low as $3.26 each in
